Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0907hrs Access Road mine sweep is completed. At 1330hrs S-4 Minuteman 120 is on station for re supply. At 2116hrs the 4 ARVN Recon reports in the vicinity BS736601 on a raid has engaged 2 VC, results 2 VC KIA, CIA 7 Chi Com grenades. At 2315hrs IOS at OP Wink sighted 20 to 30 personnel vicinity BS707573, artillery fire mission called as well as Sabre 40 (2325hrs). Sabre 40 received numerous hits and had to return to LZ Bronco to check it out. At 2355hrs has 2 NVA KIA at this time. Warlord 10 with Pelican 16 (Flare ship) is on station. At 0110hrs Pelican 24 (with Sabre 40 in ship) on station at 0113hrs Warlord 10, Pelican 16 and Pelican 24 broke station at 0200hrs. At 2345hrs LZ Dragon vicinity BS738527 reports 4 VC were KIA on their Access Road. Legend: 1st Platoon 53, 2nd Platoon 98, 3rd Platoon 26, 4th Platoon 22, CO-66.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continue to establish patrol Bases and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0950hrs Alpha Company Command Post, 3rd and 4th Platoons in Patrol Base at BS704502. At 1000hrs Alpha Company 1st and 2nd Platoons in Patrol Base at BS720474. At 1400hrs Alpha Company 4th Platoon Patrol closed vicinity BS715505. At 1943 hrs Alpha Company 1st and 2nd Platoon in location BS730471, 2nd Platoon ambush BS733475, 3rd Platoon ambush at BS712475.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Charlie Company
March 12, 1971
At 0815hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS677554 while checking the area of Mechanical Ambush detonation found 1 NVA KIA, with green uniform CIA documents and rice. Rice was destroyed by the Mechanical Ambush detonation, and documents will be brought to LZ Liz. At 1120hrs Charlie Company BS699562 at OP Wink, VIP Program a Vietnamese male 12, turn in 2 57rr rounds, 3 105mm rounds, and was paid 6 meals C-Rations. At 1830hrs Command Post is moving out for BS685552. At 1950hrs Charlie Company 2nd platoon ambush in location at BS662565. 3rd Platoon ambush is at BS685556 and 3rd Platoon (-) is at BS685552.
Delta Company

Delta Company started with saturation patrolling of their Area of Operation. At 0850hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol change checkpoint 1 BS745455, checkpoint 2 at BS756459 all elements will be at BS753457 tonight. At 1125hrs Delta Company in the vicinity BS742453, called urgent Dust Off for 1 US with multiple to legs, hit booby trap, which was a hand frag in a hedgerow, pressure release device (SP4 John D. Isam) completed at 1140hrs.At 1725hrs Delta Company is moving out for BS753547. At 1930hrs Delta Company all elements patrols closed in vicinity BS749456. At 1942hrs Delta Company all element in location vicinity BS753471.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
