Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry is located at LZ Liz and continued their Mission and working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0505hrs LZ Liz received 4-5 rounds unknown type mortar between bunkers 4 and 21. South side of Hill, possible enemy grid BS759405, negative casualties or damage and 4.2 mortars will be fired. At 0715hrs Primo Aviation at BS898253, Primo LOH on Recon was fired upon with small arms and automatic weapons fire, by an estimated Platoon Size enemy force, the door gunner was seriously wounded and the LOH received various rounds.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 1130hrs 19 Engineer reports at BS889273 one truck on a convoy took 2 rounds of small arms fire in the cab with negative casualties.
Alpha Company
July 12, 1969
At 0640hrs Command and Control helicopter will be in your location to pick-up the man with the burned hands, and he will be brought to LZ Liz around 0700hrs. The man name is Trujillo (line #t-5841). At 0751hrs Alpha Company has a male of military age with negative ID, sending him in on Command and Control helicopter grid is BS741462, and the rest of unit is on move at 1000hrs have 1 female VCS, age 15-20years, her husband is 26 and is not in the Army. Her husband plus some other male cadre evaded from Ville when Alpha Company entered were not able to apprehend them. At 1040hrs, moving out of Ville and taking VCS with us. Alpha Company has a man with a thorn in his eye, requests to send him in man’s name is Thomas put on Command and Control helicopter and also have a 1 male of military age with negative ID to send in also at grid BS751471. At 1615hrs we moving out to the 62 element location closed with them 1635hrs and at 1940hrs moved into out Night Defense Position at BS753456 then the 63 snake is moving out to BS757457.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Charlie Company
July 12, 1969
At 0720hrs Charlie Company is moving out of Night Defense Position at this time. At 0910hrs Charlie Company present location and Day Logger is a BS847367. The Charlie 23 element is on a Recon in Force to BS841362. At 1300hrs the 23 element has closed on the Day Logger and at 1840hrs Charlie Company is moving to Night Defense Position at BS847371 with the 83 snake will be at BS838364.
Delta Company
July 12, 1969
At 0726hrs Delta Company leaving Night Defense Position going to grid BS787429. At 0900hrs have a man that was stung by a wasp, on the right hand, his hand is unusable will make the pick-up. Delta Company reports the 65 element conducting a Recon in Force to grid BS799420 and rest of Delta Company in Day Logger, the 23 element patrol to grid BS786433 and return to Day Logger. At 2005hrs Delta Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at location BS795427 and Delta Company 14 element is in position at 2017hrs. SP4 Terry Wilkerson was evac to 312 Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0505hrs LZ Liz received 4-5 rounds unknown type mortar between bunkers 4 and 21. South side of Hill, possible enemy grid BS759405, negative casualties or damage and 4.2 mortars will be fired. Recon Platoon is located on LZ LIZ. At 1945hrs Recon Platoon is leaving LZ Liz and at 1950hrs Recon reports they are at check point 1 and at 2045hrs Recon is moving to BS884327. At 2220hrs Recon Platoon are in Night Defense Position/snake location at BS745443.
