Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Custer and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0715hrs S-4 Resupply Bird is on station Rattler 17 # tail # 679. At 1115hrs AMC is on station for Bravo Company Combat Assault 1st PZ 1140hrs and 2nd LZ at 1200hrs Combat Assault is completed and AMC and lift birds are released. Legend: 1st Platoon 59, 2nd Platoon 56, 3rd Platoon 89, 4th Platoon 97, CO-29.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
September 11, 1971
Alpha Company continued with their Security Mission for LZ Vanguard. Alpha Company prepares for their move North and the 1-20 Infantry is closing of LZ Custer.
Bravo Company
September 11, 1971
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission with Minh Long. At 1115hrs Bravo Company is Air Moved 1st PZ at 1140hrs and 2nd LZ at 1200hrs as they take over the Security Mission for LZ Custer.
Charlie Company
September 11, 1971
Charlie Company (-) will continue their Security Mission for LZ Custer and Part of Charlie Company and Recon Platoon is on their Stand Down in Chu Lai. SP Marvin T. Jackson went to Company B 23rd Medical at 1000hrs to is attached 91st Evac Hospital.
Delta Company
September 11, 1971
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Custer. Delta Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 1140hrs and last LZ at 1200hrs to location BS509571 and Delta Company 1st platoon closed on LZ Custer at 1607hrs.
Echo Company
September 11, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Custer, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon with part of Charlie Company is at Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
