Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1415hrs 1-20 Infantry reports AMC and 5 ships on station for Combat Assault of Charlie and Delta Companies and Recon Platoon. 1-20 Infantry Combat Assault was conducted 1st PZ 1427hrs and last LZ at 1717hrs. At 1745hrs 1-20 Infantry element Warlord 15 at BS628557 destroyed 5 san pans, departed Box 64. At 1745hrs 1-20 Infantry notified of frequency change Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta Companies, Recon Platoon, 4.2 Platoon, Rear, MACV, SOP. At 2230hrs Mine dog was requested for Alpha Company will be at Bud Pad at 1215hrs. Legend: 1st Platoon 53-58, 2nd 23-28, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 31.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use Sweep Area of their Area of Operation. Alpha Company all elements moving to Night Defense Position BS69530. At 1735hrs Alpha Company found and destroyed 1 155 round in their Day Logger at BS587534.
Bravo Company
September 11, 1970
At 0615hrs Bravo Company element moving out for BS747678, the 27 element moving out for BS715634 and the 87 element closed on BS712584.
Charlie Company
September 11, 1970
At 0955hrs Charlie Company 53 element is moving out to BS598493, the 83 element closed and the 23 element moving out to BS598489. Charlie Company at 0955hrs closed on BS598493 for Combat Assault with Delta Company and Recon Platoon, 5 ships on station at 1415hrs 1st PZ 1417hrs to 1st LZ BS728432, BS712433, Charlie Company 31 element moving out for BS723433, and the 53 element moving out for BS729415. At 1907hrs Charlie Company the 31 element is moving out for BS723433 and the 53 is moving out for BS729646. At 2155hrs Charlie Company the 25 element in location at BS720453.
Delta Company

At 0703hrs Delta Company 55 element is moving out to BS645556. At 0755hrs Delta 85 at checkpoint 3 BS650546 and Delta 56 has closed on BS655543. Delta Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 1630hrs 53 LZ 1640hrs at BS754580. PZ 1650hrs 23, 63, and 31 LZ BS742568 and last PZ 83 LZ at 1717hrs cold at BS753557 Combat Assault completed. At 1720hrs Delta Company 53 has 2 female detainees 50 years old, negative ID. Delta 58 has 2 females, 25 years, 1 male 15 years old and Delta Company 23 has 12 females 25 to 55 all with negative ID. At 1955hrs Delta Company the 23 element in location at BS753567, the 53 element in location at BS747579, the 25 element in location at BS746570, the 55 element in location at BS754582, the 85 element in location at BS756560 and the 83 element in location at BS755556. At 2010hrs Delta Company 53 moving into their Night Defense Position heard 50 meters to their west at BS753566 checked out the area made contact, found 2 rucksacks and 1 Vietnamese female, 3 VC evaded to the northeast pursued now, with negative results.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 1610hrs Recon Platoon conducts their Combat Assault PZ 1610hrs and LZ 1620hrs at LZ Liz. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
