Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Dottie and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations. At 1530hrs Swift Boats spotted about 15 people which were believed to be male Vietnamese when they say us they ran into the wood line at this time. 1-20 Infantry reports the Command and Control Helicopter in coming in to check the area and the patrol boats are firing 50 (caliber) H & I fire. At 1815hrs 1-20 Infantry reports 2 platoon 1-1 Calvary is at BS745842 and has 1 track down at BS731864.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2150hrs LZ Bronco reports Bunker 56-59 received gas, unknown type, negative casualties or damage.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducted a Combat Assault into a LZ in vicinity BS710823, 1st PZ at 0745hrs and last LZ was at 0826hrs and LZ was cold. From that location it swept to the northeast with negative results and at 0900hrs Alpha Company reports it Center of Mass at BS705820. At 1019hrs Alpha Company reports locations at BS712822.At 1410hrs Alpha Company at BS724828 picked up 1 VCS and interrogated him and he said there are 50-60 VC in the area of Delta Company. At 1815hrs Alpha Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS728832.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continues to search and clear along axis B at 0900hrs Bravo Company at Center of Mass BS785844 found 1 VC KIA by artillery was seen drag into village no weapon. At 1045hrs Bravo Company found tunnel complex at BS786845 presently searching and digging one tunnel 1 old shotgun was a Stephens, serial number unreadable vicinity objective 5. Bravo Company small tunnel would sleep about 20 people will destroyed as soon as they are searched completely. Bravo Company while on combat sweep 1 man tripped a bouncing Betty Mine with the results is 2 US WHA has MFW Dust Off completed at 1608hrs. At 1815hrs Bravo Company established their Night Defense Position at BS793850. 1LT Thomas E. Orr was evac to 312th Evac Hospital at 1530hrs.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company searching and clearing vicinity objective 1 found tunnel complex approximately 250 meters long at BS733893, demolition was brought in and it was destroyed. At 1413hrs Charlie Company (-) is located at BS727887. At 2115hrs Charlie Company at BS729888 reported receiving 5 mortar rounds outside their perimeter with no casualties and counter mortar fire was placed on the suspect mortar positions with negative assessment.
Delta Company

Delta Company searching and clearing the previous day contact area found a SKS rifle and assortment of ammunition and equipment 10 rounds of M-1 ammo and also had ID card belonging to a Milton, Larry A. SR. At 1300hrs Delta Company, Recon Platoon and 1 Platoon 1-1 Calvary located at BS726814. At 1416hrs Delta Company BS725814 found trench line and found rocket position. Interrogated one Vietnamese female and she said the VC where there yesterday and they left last night. Delta Company moved back to continue security of LZ UPTIGHT and Battalion Reserve. At 1815hrs Delta Company 40 is located at BS733840.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Dottie where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Dottie. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Dottie where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 1300hrs Recon Platoon and 1 Platoon 1-1 Calvary with Delta Company is located at BS726814. At 1600hrs Recon Platoon has moved back to LZ Uptight with Delta Company to take part in the Security Mission.
