Battalion Forward: Battalion Headquarters is located at LZ LIZ. At 0210hrs LZ Liz received 82mm mortars rounds at BS744438 calling in Artillery and 4.2 mortars have 5 WIA (M) from the 4.2 Platoon. At 0400hrs 1-20 Infantry reports NVA at wire at Bunker 21 receiving AK, RPG and hand grenades, with 1 Bunker hit with RPG result one bunker destroyed and 1 Artillery sleeping quarters burned results 1 US KIA (Artillery). At 0425hrs 1-20 Infantry requested Tracker Team coordinate with 174th for pick up. At 0700hrs E Troop 1 Calvary 11th Brigade had one man WIA from frag from RPG in Leg. At 0707hrs from morning action at LZ Liz Dust Off completed 1 Artillery WIA, 1 E Troop 1st Calvary 11th Brigade and 1 KIA from Charlie Battery 82 Artillery total 1 man WIA (E) and 1 WIA (M). At 0600hrs LZ Liz receiving machinegun fire and AK 47 fire, request gun ships. At 1030hrs Bravo Company report the following 6 AK 47 magazines, 9 Chi Com grenades, 3 60mm rounds, Dinks shovels, and 1 entrenching tool. Also Reports 1 NVA pistol belt, 3NVA packs, US heating tablets, 48 rounds of Chi Com Machinegun ammo, 1 trip flare, 12 RPG rounds and 6 boosters for RPG rounds.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued to carry out their Mission of general support for the Battalion. At 0425hrs LZ Bronco received 1 round of WP unknown type, hit outside of perimeter of F sector, negative casualties in line with fuel storage area and continued your Mission of general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company
June 11, 1969
Alpha Company is located at LZ Bronco for Defense and refitting. At 0740hrs Alpha Company, ARVN 1-4 Regiment 3 lifts (3 lifts of 9 ships) into BS735405 was completed and back haul Delta Company and the 15 packs from Alpha Company to LZ Bronco which was completed at 0920hrs for refitting.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. 0200hrs LZ Liz received 10 rounds of 82mm mortar from BS744438 calling in artillery, results 4.2 Platoon has 5 WHA (M). At 0400hrs Bravo Company report NVA are at the wire and Bunker 21 receiving AK, RPG and hand frag, 1 Bunker hit with RPG results 1 bunker destroyed, (Artillery sleeping quarters) burned negative casualties in line with fuel storage, request for tracker dogs. At 0600hrs LZ Liz is receiving AK fire request gun ships. At 0720hrs Bravo Company reports 2 VC/NVA 1 WIA CIA evac, along with AK 47 and RPG launcher. At 0717hrs US WHA from the action with Dust Off completed at 0707hrs, 1 WHA Artillery, 2 WHA E Troop, 1 KHA from Artillery Charlie Battery. At 1030hrs Bravo Company pick-up 6 AK 47 magazines and 4 M-16 magazines, 1 Chi Com grenade, 3 60mm rounds, 6 dinks shovels, 1 entrenching tool. Also 1 NVA pistol belt, 3 NVA packs, US heat tables, 148 round of Chi Com Machinegun ammo, 1 trip flare, 12 RPG rounds, 6 booster for RPG rounds.
Charlie Company

At 0730hrs Charlie Company has one man WHA from E Troop frag from RPG in Leg Dust Off completed at 0707hrs. At 1700hrs 1-4 ARVN Combat Assault to vicinity BS757408 more north to BS737415, 6 NVA KIA, CIA 1 B71, 1 AK47, 1 Pair of Bio, 2-4 Dragons ARVN and 3-4 ARVN Search and Clear BS765375 and 4-4 ARVN continued Sear and Clear at BS713557.
Delta Company

At 0005hrs Delta Company at BS749404 reports received 2 RPG and 3 hand grenades. The helicopter in perimeter was hit and set on fire, results 9 US WIA (M) Gun Ship Shadow is on station and received and gave fire. At 0625hrs Delta Company at BE749403 engaged 3 NVA evading, results 3 NVA KIA, CIA 1 AK-47, 1 RPG launcher, 2 RPG rounds, 1 Chi Com hand grenades, documents, misc military equipment and 100 rounds of AK 47 Ammo. At 0717hrs Delta Company has found is sweeping the area 5 NVA KIA, 1 AK-47, 1 RPG launcher, 2 1 Chi Com Machine Gun, documents, 1st aid kit, 100 rounds of AK 47. Delta Company is air moved from PZ at BS749405 with 15 Alpha Company personnel to LZ Bronco and completed at 0920hrs the PZ received small arms fire and mortar fire with results 1 US WIA (E). At 1420hrs At 0420hrs the 1-4 ARVN Regiment found 5 NVA KIA, 1 AK47, 1 B40 Rocket Launcher at 737410. PFC ROLAND FORREST DIPOLO LISTED AS KHA died of wounds check JUNE 10, 1969.
Echo Company
June 11, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0210hrs LZ Liz received 10 rounds of 82mm mortar rounds at BS744438 calling in Artillery and 4.2 Platoon fire and the 4.2 Platoon reports 5 WIA (M). Around 0530hrs LZ Liz received a ground attack by NVA sappers, resulting in 1 US KIA and 1 US WIA (E) from Charlie Battery 82 Artillery. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission as the Reaction Force for LZ Bronco. SP4 Gilbert Candelaria was attached to 312th Evac Hospital (11C20).
