Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0041hrs Warlord Blue is on station for box 64, and at 0110hrs is out of box checking perimeter, and at 0130hrs breaking station with negative findings. At 0740hrs LZ Liz Access Road has been swept for mines. At 0849hrs 1-20 Infantry Primo 6 is on station at this time. At 0910hrs 4 ARVN LATE SPOT At 110600hrs 4 Recon while in ambush location vicinity BS819328 detained 2 male VC suspects back hauled to Duc Pho later today. At 110710hrs at BS744558 ambushed and killed 3 VC also capture 5 VC, also CIA 2 M-16 and 10 Chi Com grenades. At 110840hrs 4-4 Battalion vicinity BS613484 received 3 rounds of mortar fire resulting in 2 ARVN WIA Dust Off is underway at this time. At 0930hrs Weather WARNING: Storm 600 miles due east of Chu Lai moving west, winds at 30 knots and expected to hit coast 11 July at 2400hrs, informed Alpha, Bravo, Charlie Companies and Recon, Nui Vong, North and South OP and Access Road. At 1000hrs Primo 6 broke station at this time. At 1049hrs MACV Mo Duc RF 172 requested 1 routine Dust Off for 1 RF vicinity BS753573, while Bird #59 was in the air it took 1 round AK fire in the left side of bubble window at grid BS760570, negative casualties, bird damage slight. At 1500hrs WEATHER REPORT: Typhoon KIM will hit Da Nang at approximately 122000hrs and our Area of Operation could receive winds of 25 to 30 knots. At 1520hrs 1-20 Infantry Primo 2 is on station at this time and broke station at 1620hrs. Legend: 1st Platoon 81, 2nd Platoon 83, 3rd Platoon 59, 4th Platoon 88, CO-50.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai. SP4 Craig Robinson was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 2015hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position Command Post and 2nd Platoon at BS713434, 2nd Platoon ambush at BS720436, 1st Platoon at BS725473 with the 1st Platoon ambush at BS727473.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued will continue to use Patrol bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1145hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon had 1 of their Mechanical Ambush detonate at 1450hrs vicinity BS655528, resulting in 1 male VC/NVA KIA wearing green uniform. The VC/NVA equipment CIA 1 AK 47, 2 AK 47 magazines with ammo, 1 Chi Com Hand grenade, NVA Pistol Belt, 1 Mosquito Net, 1 hammock and 10 pounds tea leaves. At 2005hrs Bravo Company all elements in their Night Defense Position Command Post and 2nd Platoon at BS663517 and 1st Platoon is at BS677514.
Charlie Company

Delta Company

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0630hrs Recon reports they are in Patrol Base vicinity BS688523. At 1950hrs Recon is moving to their Night Defense Position at BS685524 and closed on position at 2018hrs.
