Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0755hrs Called Major Danner to inform him that Colonel Hooy, District engineer would destroy 2 old APC hulls with satchel charges at 1400hrs at BS727594. At 0755hrs 1-20 Infantry has clear BS6533 and BS6634 coordinates for Air Strikes. At 1020hrs Charlie Company SRRP reports location at BS795362. At 1030hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry at BS777383 detonated hand grenade with trip wire, result 2 WHA and evac Dust Off was completed at 1045hrs. At 1100hrs Sharks 6 at BS771537 reports 2 VC KIA, one dressed in black and one dressed in white shorts, had purple shirt, they where evading. At 1205hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry at BS767368 received 15 rounds sniper fire, negative casualties, response with artillery fire. At 1205hrs Command and Control Helicopter at BS805375 received small arms fire with negative hits. At 1220hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry at BS767365. At 1400hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry OPCON to 1-20 Infantry the 51 element is location at BS774336, and the remainder of Company at LZ Dragon. At 1920hrs 1-20 Infantry Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry reports night locations 51 at BS770359 and Gale is located at BS865296.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. LZ Bronco Bunker line accidental homicide two individuals in bunker 49 NBD, they were shot from the back of the bunker. Individual who did the shooting is believed to be a GI. Both men killed by M-16 fire. A third individual on bunker in state of shock this person fired back at the individual who did the shooting. When Navone on Bunker security preparing to rotate home was from Charlie Company other Individual was from Headquarters and Headquarter Company Cruz. SP4 Victor. SP4 CHARLES NAVONE JR (from Charlie Company) and CPL RAFAEL CRUZ CRUZ ARE LISTED AS KIA. At 2250hrs Bravo Battery 6-11 Artillery US entered EM’s tent and began waving his M-16 around, weapon went off and wounded one man in leg, not serious. Not known whether this is an accident or intentionally, man that did the shooting is in custody at PIO.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 1400hrs Alpha Company report locations the 21 is at BS745565, A SRRP at BS640534. At 1610hrs Alpha 21 is at BS745565 with Aster at BS641534. At 1324hrs Alpha Company conducts Combat Assault PZ at 1324hrs and LZ at 1355hrs Recon 1st PZ at 1336hrs and LZ at 1355hrs to Dragon. At 1900hrs Alpha Company locations are Aster at BS641534, 23 at BS7253514, 44 at BS721528, and 55 at BS729508.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with the 41 element at 124 Bridge. At 1535hrs Bravo Company at BS746446 observed 1 VC moving northwest with mortar tube engaged with mortars, with negative assessment.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1900hrs Charlie Company 44 element is located at BS887313. At 2050hrs LZ Thunder received 10-12 rounds AK 47 fire on bunker line with negative casualties return fire with 81mm with negative assessment. Security Platoon LZ Bronco Bunker line accidental homicide two individuals in bunker 49 NBD, they were shot from the back of the bunker. Individual who did the shooting is believed to be a GI. Both men killed by M-16 fire. A third individual on bunker in state of shock this person fired back at the individual who did the shooting. When Navone on Bunker security preparing to rotate home was from Charlie Company other Individual was from Headquarters Company Cruz. Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and provided security for Bridges at 95 and 94. At 1400hrs Delta Company 44 is at Bridge 95 and the 43 is at bridge 94 with 51 element is working at BS930134. 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP Aster BS641534, C 3-1 Infantry OPCON Calvin at BS795360, Gale at BS973293 with 1-20 Infantry Dog Tag at BS912250.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon reports there is no change in their SRRP locations. At 1030hrs are on the move to LZ Liz. At 1610hrs Recon Platoon is Air Move to LZ Dragon completed at 1355hrs. At 1400hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at LZ Dragon.
