At 0550hrs TMF 0525hrs S-61B 4 packs traveling west to east at 3 miles per hour, metal detected and at 0540hrs engaged with 16 HE 105 Artillery. At 1148hrs 1-20 Infantry request Area of Operation extension to B-25 Date/Time/Grid 101800hrs to 111800hrs, BS6450 to BS6449 to BS6749 to BS6751 to BS7051 to BS7053, purpose for Alpha Company Operation to check out the base of the mountains was approved CPT Car. At 1530hrs TMF S-66B 4 personnel moving southwest to northeast at 3 miles per hour, metal was confirmation, and engaged at 1540hrs with 8 VT HE rounds of 105 Artillery. At 1630hrs 4.2 Platoon on Access Road paid 100 Piasters for 1 81mm round at BS763436. At 2100hrs 1-20 Infantry Area of Operation extension #94 has been approved until 112400hrs approved by LT Pack. Legend: 1st Platoon 53-58, 2nd 23-28, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 31.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to work and sweep their Area of Operation, Weather is raining and overcastted.
Bravo Company
September 10, 1970
At 0700hrs Bravo Company 83 element at BS720594 receiving fire from BS728603, working up 81mm mortars now spotted 4 VC who fired 12 rounds from top to base of hill moving into area at checkpoint #3 to search it with negative finding. At 1945hrs Bravo Company 87 element is in location at BS713583, the 56 element in location at BS744663 and 27 in location BS712639.
Charlie Company

At 0839hrs Charlie Company 83 is moving out to BS587498. At 0924hrs Charlie Company checked out area BS593494 were they received fire from last night and found a bunker used C/S on it negative finding found some tracks but no brass. At 0940hrs The 53 element detained 3 females 2 50 and 1 17 and one male 35, no ID, extracted to Military Intelligence. At 1907hrs Charlie Company is moving out for BS597489. At 1940hrs Charlie Company moving out of the Day Logger took 1 RPG round or 82mm, landed about 50 meters to their rear, fire came from a riverbed, check area negative finding.
Delta Company

At 1608hrs Delta Company 86 moving out for BS645547, at 1655hrs Delta Company the 26 element is moving out to BS652556, the 56 element is moving to BS641537. Delta Company is conducting multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 2020hrs Delta Company 83/53 is located at BS649541 and Delta Company 23/31/63 is located at BS655544.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 1630hrs 4.2 Platoon on access road paid 100 Piasters for 1 81mm round at BS763436. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
