Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0635hrs Battalion SRRP the Recon 54 element left their snake location for their PZ at BS737475. At 1105hrs Gun ships and slicks are on station for Recon Platoon element pick up, the 56 extraction was completed at 1111hrs and the 54 extractions was completed at 1120hrs. At 2240hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC a new Battalion of NVA L-17 is at BS721455 with the mission of attacking LZ Liz and LZ Bronco from the present until 22 May 1970. The have 2 105 Artillery guns and ten days ago they were at BS656424 and re supplied today.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

At 1705hrs Alpha Company the entire Unit closed on the Day Logger. At 1725hrs Alpha Company we are moving to our Night Defense Position at BS737448 and multiple ambushes. Alpha Company reports at 1140hrs SP4 Robert L. Gray was treated and released to duty, frag wound in chest.
Bravo Company

At 0840hrs Bravo Company at grid BS789417 due to the contact last night, we have 2 US WIA, line # 37 with B 40 frag in the arm and 61 with a B 40 Frag in the leg. They were treated at their location and were put in for a Purple Heart. At 0915hrs Bravo Company one US in the 54 element had 150 Vietnamese stolen and request the MP be called to straighten things out the MP arrived and detained 2 Delta Company personnel 1LT Hatton reports the CID is investigating the matter. At 1610hrs the 38 element is on Road Security and have now closed. At 2001hrs Bravo Company the 77 element sprung their Ambush on 3 VC at BS781438. One had a weapon and two were carrying sacks and were heading toward the 77 snake after they were fired on they evaded to the east. In checking area they found one AK 47 magazine had 4 to 5 rounds in it. The contact was made at approximately 100 meters. The 77 element has now closed on BS783433. At 2015hrs Bravo Company the 58 element is at BS773433 and the 26 snake is at BS801697 and the RF snake is at BS799399. At 2158hrs Bravo Company the 36 element at the Duc Pho Compound received an unknown number of small arms fire rounds from their southeast and approximately 600-800 meters away. The 1969 RF spotted 7 to 14 VC in the direction of the incoming small arms fire. The Compound engaged the area with small arms, the Artillery, illumination and the Listening Post is sent out with negative finding. There was a estimate 7 enemy weapons were used in the engagement. Bravo Company reports SP4 Patrick T. Harvey Frag wound (L) arm and SP4 Richard A Jones Frag wound to left leg were treated in field and released to duty.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company set up Day Logger and put snakes out in the field, along with saturation patrolling. At 1634hrs one Vietnamese baby brought a 155mm round into our perimeter BS754411 and we paid him $300 Vietnamese and blow it up. At 1642hrs Charlie Company the 54 element is moving to BS771388. At 1715hrs Charlie Company moving to their Night Defense Position at BS776400 with multiple snakes out and everyone closed on their snake locations by 2018hrs.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Delta Company reports night security patrols on Assess road.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0635hrs Battalion SRRP the Recon 54 element left their snake location for their PZ at BS737475. At 1070hrs Recon we are now in their PZ at BS687421. At 1105hrs Gun ships and slicks are on station for Recon pick up, the 56 extraction was completed at 1111hrs and the 54 extractions was completed at 1120hrs. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
