Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in the Duc Pho Area of Operations. At 2135hrs Alpha Company on Bridge 402U spotted 2 VC on road, 200 meters south moving west to east, called Fire Fly Mission with negative results. At 2245hrs Alpha Company on LZ Liz spotted 1 VC, 100 meters front bunker engaged with small arms fire with negative results.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0920hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS755494 a Lambetta detonated 10 pounds pressure type mine results 2 Vietnamese KIA and crater was 4’ X 5’ with dozer clearing area uncovered another 50 meters south in center of road.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and conducts a Recon in Force to vicinity BS741451, BS722430 and BS733445.At 1105hrs Alpha Company at BS749450 found 4 to 5 thousand pounds of polished rice and 20 pounds of Marijuana destroyed. Rice would have to be singed out due to terrain, based on shortage of air craft permission by G-3 to destroyed rice. Alpha Company reports 97 element is located at 741431 and at 1925hrs Alpha Company at 718425 spotted 2 VC moving east, lost contact. At 2135hrs Alpha Company on Bridge 402 U spotted 2 VC on road, 200 meters south moving west to east called fire fly with negative results. At 2245hrs Alpha Company LZ bunker spotted 1 VC, 400 meters front bunker and engaged with small arms fire with negative results.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts 1 platoon Recon in Force with tracks to vicinity BS764388, BS755398, BS731405, and BS752409. At 1040hrs Bravo Company at BS766393 has 1 Vietnamese woman shot in the leg and knee evac Dust Off completed at 1037hrs.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force with tracks to vicinity BS768387, BS745386, BS745370, and BS768368. Charlie Company conducts a Company Recon in Force to location at BS789244, which will become their Night Defense Position. At 2040hrs Charlie Company at BS776366 spotted party VC carrying light, light went out, waiting for Fire fly, party fled into bunker.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts with 1 platoon a Recon in Force to BS813425, BS815403 and continued their joint operation with PF on Pacification Area. At 2245hrs Delta Company in their Night Defense Position at BS798417 received 50 to 60 rounds of small arms fire, firing stop and negative casualties.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon conducts a Recon In Force to BS723432 on a intelligence info mission. Recon Platoon reports their SRRP Jackel is located at BS705421.
