Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0400hrs 1-20 Infantry unknown station blocking 1-20 Infantry command frequency by keeping set keyed. At 1200hrs E Troop at Carentan Bridge received 3 sniper rounds came from northeast. At 1928hrs MACV Duc Pho reports 2 VC Company location BS916404 and mission to attack LZ Bronco with mortars, information from informer. At 2030hrs Tripoli OP at BS842403 sighted 2 lights Northwest across river, are there any friendly in the area.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0125hrs LZ Bronco, Bunker 54 and 55 are receiving M-79 fire with negative casualties. At 1900hrs 1 US WHA hit in head by frag from hand grenade from hand grenade or M-79 round while checking the sanitary fill, Sgt was evac to dispenser at LZ Bronco then back to duty.
Alpha Company

At 1015hrs Alpha Company at BS476767, found 2 men in a hole. They wouldn’t come out so hand grenade was thrown in, results 2 VC KIA. At 1047hrs Alpha Company reports that a location BS476767, detained 5 VCS, 2 males and 3 female. One states he is VC and would leading US troops to location of other VC. States 20 NVA in green and tan uniforms equipped with 1 Machine gun, numerous carbines and AK-47’s moved across the river at 0430hrs vicinity BS472775. At 1108hrs VC POW led Alpha Company to holes with 16 males and 3 females, 3 AK-44’s, SN J9280, l4678, and 51330, and 1 SKS with folding stock SN1869463, also 1 military radio all found inside hole. Then at 1130hrs Alpha Company found 2 VC in hole, would not come out, results 2 VC KIA and 5 more VC CIA. After interview with VC suspects were completed 11was released as innocent civilians. At 1400hrs in the vicinity BS473774, Alpha Company has found in tunnel, the following items medical supplies, toilet articles, 1 flashlight, l pair rubber tire sandals where found. Along with 3 radios (2 Sony and 1 standard), 3 pens, 5 wallets, 1 canteen with cover, 40 7.62 short, 10 M-1 ammo, 1 magazines for carbine, 2 cans of milk, 35 pounds of rice, misc. clothing, 1 hammock and number of misc. blankets. At 1845hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position located in the vicinity of BS474773.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Bravo Company will have a Security Patrol near LZ Thunder with no ambushes out tonight. At 1150hrs Bravo Company at BS889272 detained 3 VCS evading.
Charlie Company
March 10, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dottie. At 1315hrs Charlie Company CO reports a wrecker had run off Highway 1 south of LZ Dottie. The MP were sent to investigate and engineers are going to try to pull vehicle out of ditch vicinity BS628838. Charlie Company will have Night Ambushes vicinity of Dottie at BS632848 and will conduct local patrols of the vicinity of LZ. At 1330hrs Charlie Company at 1330hrs at BS644858 found 1 bandoleer with .30 caliber ammo and destroyed. At 2055hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon 10 meters at Southern Bridge ridge observed tracer fire directed toward 2 aircraft flying approximately 2500 meters west of South Bridge. Charlie Company reports had negative contact for the day.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their multiple patrolling and Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operation. At 2010hrs Delta Company night locations 2nd Platoon and Command Post at BS821402 with ambush at BS835393 with 3rd Platoon ambush at BS773403, and the 1st Platoon is located at BS884334.
Echo Company
March 10, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. At 1050hrs Recon Platoon at BS885310, detained 6 VCS and 1 WIA who was shot by the Command and Control Helicopter. At 1145hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS885510 and at 1615hrs Recon Platoon found a Punji pit and destroyed at BS883316. At 2110hrs Recon Platoon reports their Night Defense Position at BS875290. At 1315hrs Recon Platoon released 6 VCS as Innocent civilians after interrogation. At 1635hrs Recon at BS883316 found Punji pit and destroyed.
