Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz will and continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0230hrs Alpha Company CPT Tobin inspected bunkers 6, 7, 8 and 9 and all were satisfactory. At 1205hrs MACV Mo Duc request Priority Dust Off for 1 PF with multiply frag wounds to legs, hit a booby trap of unknown type. Negative Vietnamese Air Force initials (WAW), Dust Off took patient to Quang Ngai, Bird # 54, completed at 1501hrs vicinity of incident at BS762586. At 1524hrs Primo 6 is on station at this time. At 1950hrs MACV Mo Duc, request Priority Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female with gunshot wound to arms and fingers, has lost quite a bit of blood, Vietnamese Air Force negative initials (CON), # 54 completed at 2020hrs to Quang Ngai, vicinity BS731541. At 2038hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out: Alpha 3, Bravo 4 and Charlie 5 for a total of 12 out. At 2215hrs LZ Liz, practice alert at 2215hrs, at 2216hrs North OP and South OP and Access Road is 100%, Reaction Force and Recon 100% at 2218hrs, Delta Company 100% at 2225hrs, Artillery 105mm 100% at 2220hrs and Artillery 155mm 100% at 2221hrs. Alert is over at 2231hrs. At 2240hrs TO Brigade S-3 From 1-20 Infantry S-3 Practice: alert initiated by Red Star Cluster 102210 June 1971. Self-Illumination, sectors of fire and bunker line checks made, minor discrepancies were corrected on the spot and alert was terminated at 2226hrs. At 2400hrs Delta Company LT Kalish has inspected bunkers 6 satisfactory and SSGT Marchbanks inspected bunker 3 also was satisfactory. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0230hrs Alpha Company CPT Tobin inspected bunkers all satisfactory. At 1030hrs Alpha Company and Bravo Company conduct Combat Assault starting at 1030hrs and ending at 1130hrs. At 1142hrs 1st Platoon in Patrol Base at BS639564, Command Post, 3rd and 4th Platoons at Patrol Base BS63568. At 1617hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon while in Patrol Base found 1 booby trap which was one can Petna with pressure release device, was located on a trail and approximately 1 week old and booby will be blown in place as 1st Platoon departs Patrol Base at BS6639564. At 2019hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon in Night Defense Position at BS640565, Command Post 3rd and 4th Platoons at BS632561 with 3 Mechanical Ambush out.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0625hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is moving to Patrol base at BS701488. At 0712hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon is moving to BS715457. At 0712hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon Patrol is moving to BS706497 and the 3rd Platoon patrol has closed on BS717463. At 2027hrs Bravo Company all elements in their Night Defense Positions location Command Post and 3rd Platoon is at BS713468, 2nd Platoon is at BS701452 and 41st and 4th Platoons at BS703481 with 4 Mechanical Ambushes out.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0947hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon Patrol Base is at BS716488. At 1638hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed on BS723426. At 2037hrs Charlie Company Night Defense Position locations 1st Platoon at BS725442, the Command Post and 3rd Platoon at BS727427, 2nd Platoon at BS722417 has 5 Mechanical Ambush is out. SP4 Michael E. Johnson was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducted Combat Assault with Alpha Company 1st PZ 1030hrs Delta Company completed at 1130hrs Delta Company takes over the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 22015hrs Practice Alert call Delta Company reports 100% at 2225hrs Alert over at 2231hrs. At 2400hrs Delta Company Lt. Kalish inspected bunker 6 satisfactory, SSGT Marchbanks inspected bunker 3 satisfactory.
Echo Company
June 10, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0602hrs Recon is moving to LZ Liz at this time. At 0642hrs Recon Platoon has closed on LZ Liz at this time and will continue their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
