Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry is located at LZ Liz and continued their Mission and working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 2045hrs Intelligence report from MACV Charlie Company located at BS829362 and BS833364, report NVA Company with 100 people at BS792364 and BS789423.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0110hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense picked up 3-5 persons at BS850403, Artillery 105mm fired 48 rounds and reported 1 secondary explosion. At 1130hrs 19 Engineer reports had EM stepped on booby trap lost half of left foot evac to LZ Bronco and then to Chu Lai. At 1500hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer at BS927224 reports 5 ton truck of a Convoy, from the 3-319 Artillery of LZ English hit approximately a 35 pound mine. Detonator was in shoulder of road, no trace of shrapnel and driver was evac and damage to 5 ton was to the right front side.
Alpha Company
July 10, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with security of bridge. At 1507hrs the 64 element is at BS735442 and moving to BS742442 and Charlie Company is leaving Day Logger for secondary Day Logger. Alpha Company reports location is at BS742442 linked with the 64 element. At 2050hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position is at BS731441 with 64 and 66 elements snakes brought back as Listening Posts because of radio contact problems.
Bravo Company

At 0740hrs Bravo Company has closed on LZ Liz at this time and took over the Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Charlie Company
July 10, 1969
Charlie Company is moving out of Night Defense Position to their Day Logger at BS826368. The 64 element is moving out to BS836357. At 1247hrs the 64 element closed on Day logger and at 1450hrs the 94 element closed on Day Logger and the 94 element moving on their Recon in Force patrol to BS821360. At 1847hrs Charlie Company is leaving our Day Logger for Night Defense Position at BS836362. The 44 element remain in Day Logger are in a stay behind ambush until they move to the night snake location. At 2015hrs the 44 element is in the snake location at grid BS827371.
Delta Company
July 10, 1969
At 0645hrs Delta Company reports the 95 snake has closed and are now moving out to their Day Logger Position. At 0740hrs Command and Control Helicopter will Dust Off one man with Possible Malaria Kilzer grid BS777428. Delta Company at 1910hrs requested a priority Dust off, for a man with 104 temperature possible malaria. Name is John Genner at grid BS779423. At 2005hrs Delta Company Report they are in Night Defense Position, with both snakes still moving to their locations. At 2020hrs Request Dust Off 1 US possible broken back, man slipped and fell injured lower part of his back. He can’t move his arms or legs. Due to Bad weather, Dust off will be going in to pick the man up in the morning completed at 0741hrs. Report at 2110hrs the 64 and 66 snakes are now in location.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0805hrs Recon Platoon location reported vicinity BS7641 on a Defense Sweep. At 1200hrs Recon Platoon reported back on at 0845hrs Recon moving out of wire at LZ LIZ for training area at this time and return to LZ Liz at 1140hrs. At 1545hrs Recon is now leaving LZ Liz. At 1600hrs Helix 32 we are on station with some heavy ordnance need clearance for grid BS802472, S-3 Air clear for Air Strike. At 1645hrs Recon Platoon reports that they have finished their exercise and returning to LZ Liz.
