Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1330hrs Charlie Company 19th Engineer at BS913164 reports 2 people in a ¼ ton truck going north was hit by a probable M-79 round and small arms fire, came from eastside of the road. Vehicle was blown over, 1 Officer and 1 EM evac to LZ right bumper USARV, evac to LZ English. APC swept to east negative results, Left bumper 41CA.
Alpha Company

At 0827hrs Alpha Company is located at BS781385. At 0907hrs Alpha Company at BS783382 found 2 documents hidden in a garden, interpreter says letters are from NVA will evac to LZ Bronco. At 1155hrs Alpha Company locations 10 is located at LZ Bronco, 20 & 30 is at BS784376. At 1836hrs Alpha Company 10 at LZ Bronco, Command Post and 30 is at their Night Defense Position with ambushes at BS772387, BS789379 and BS778400.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company (-) has the Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At Late Entry 2344hrs Bravo 6 OP has spotted a boat at BS883343 that came to the beach, 1 man met boat when it beached the boat then went back out from shore then came back and 2 men got off boat. All 3 men started heading west toward BS880340. Now firing gird BS880340, will observed by 1-20 Bravo 6 at LZ Thunder. VCS were fired on by Artillery as they moved into tree line. Results negative assessment at 2400hrs. At 0730hrs Bravo Company at BS837322 received 1 round sniper fire, results 1 US KHA, hit in left shoulder and chest, were preparing to move out Henderson, Monte. At 0909hrs Bravo Company at BS833324 while searching hamlet found a notebook with 25 to 30 pages, also some medical supplies, will evac. At 1050hrs Bravo Company at BS815321 engaged 1 VC evading results is 1 VC KIA age 22-27, no ID. At 1836hrs locations is as follows Bravo Company (-) at LZ Thunder ambush sites BS847320, BS854315, and BS852312. PFC MONTE HENDERSON LISTED AS KHA.
Charlie Company

At 0825hrs Charlie Company locations is as follows 10 at BS925269, 20 BS899308, and 30 at BS893207. At 0930hrs Charlie Company at BS926272 detained 1 VCS, which the PF say he is VC will evac to LZ Bronco. At 1200hrs Charlie Company reports their locations 20 element and Command Post is at BS895307, 30 at BS896302. At 1836hrs Charlie Company is in their Night Defense Position at BS865397 with ambushes at BS862306, BS867306 and BS857307.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0505hrs Delta Company at BS926254 engaged 2 VC from night ambush, searched are with negative results. At 0827hrs Delta 10 at BS928269, 20 BS928252 and 30 BS927267 will be moving out on patrol at this time. At 1140hrs Delta Company BS932261 detainee 1 VCS in a hut, 35 years old had on while PF will evac to LZ Bronco. At 1836 D 10 Command Post at Charlie Brown 20 Night Defense Position at BS931256 with ambushes at BS934257 and BS929257.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0840hrs Recon Platoon is located at BS482456 and will be moving out on patrol at this time. At 0900hrs Recon Platoon at BS484455 engaged 4 VC results 3 VC KIA, 1 AK-47 with magazine CIA, 2 Chi Com and grenades and 1 NVA pistol belt also CIA. 1 wore Khaki uniform, 1 green uniform. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon at BS474460 observed 1 VC, 1 with pack at 0900hrs and 0930hrs observed 6 VC 1 with carbine, unable to tell what other had. At 1218hrs Recon Platoon at BS482456 requests Dust Off for man has been vomiting all morning, suffering chill and fever all morning. At 1801hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS484461. At 2005hrs Recon requested man and water.
