Forward Area: (1-20 Infantry Headquarters) is located at LZ Liz and will continue to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0800hrs Primo 2 is on station for Command and Control Helicopter. At 0920hrs Engineers, report mine sweep is completed. At 1045hrs S-4 reports Dolphin 224 is on station for resupply. At 1200hrs S-5 VIP at BS780439 purchased 155 round from a Vietnamese child paid $200 piasters and engineer will destroy. At 1615hrs Q Company has 1 male detainee, 18 years old, wearing blue and green with negative ID, was seen evading from the perimeter area with 2 M-79 rounds. At 1432hrs Q Company and Warlord 8 IOS spotted 2 VC with weapons speaking to a civilian farmer. 1 VC was carrying a bush to conceal himself and the other made an effort to also conceal him in a similar fashion. Artillery requested, but received negative clearance (proximity to a Village). Warlord 8 came on station and inserted his blues at 1455hrs Blues checked out the area, found 1 155mm booby-trap which they destroyed and reports negative further findings, blue were extracted at 1555hrs. Warlord 8 broke station at 1605hrs. At 2241hrs MACV Mo Duc Area of Operation for next 7 days 101200hrs to 171200hrs December, this Area of Operation will be under both political and military control of Mo Duc District for the above mentioned time frame from BS6860 then follow river to BS687588 then follow canal south to BS693576 to BS693570 to BS6657 to BS6660 to BS6860. Legend: 1st Platoon 83-88, 2nd Platoon 33-38, 3rd Platoon 03-08, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 09.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
December 10, 1970
At 0730hrs Alpha Company all elements are moving to Patrol Base BS775589. At 0835hrs Alpha Company in vicinity BS766584 requests Dust Off, (1 National Police Vietnamese) with spasmodic and heavy breathing completed at 0846hrs. Move out to Patrol Base and continue Patrolling Operation in their Area of Operation. At 1535hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS772580 for 1 US LT Raywood W. Kinsey with frag wounds to the chest received while blowing a dud M-79 round received stray frag. Also 1 Vietnamese female, who received a gunshot wound above the heart, received wounds while evading US Packs. (Lt. Kinsey) Dust Off completed at 1545hrs. Alpha Company vicinity BS772580 observed a suspicious gathering of people sent a patrol to check it out. The then evaded to the north, 1 was observed wearing a pack or a radio. Warning shots were fired, engaged the area where enemy with pack or radio was seen evading Results: 12 VC suspects detained, 8 military age males, 4 military age females, 1 female WIA, Dust Off completed at 1917hrs with LT Kinsey. Detainees sent to Mo Duc. At 1917hrs Alpha Company Command Post, 1st and 4th Platoon is at BS766585, 1st Platoon ambush BS763584, BS764584, 2nd Platoon BS760614, BS760610, BS757616, 3rd Platoon BS778569, BS776583.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will started the day with Saturation Patrolling and VIP program for the Area of Operation today also with results of the VIP program 1 M-79 round, 3 105 rounds, 1 Chi Com grenade. These were purchased from five different children for soap and C Rations.
Charlie Company

Delta Company
December 10, 1970
Delta Company will continue to conduct Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0850hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS750543. At 1000hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS750560. At 1205hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed on BS741561 and 3rd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS746543. At 0920hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon is moving out for BS753574. At 1935hrs Delta Command Post 1st and 4th Platoon at BS751575, 3rd Platoon BS744565, 2nd Platoon BS755558 and BS760557.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
