Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Volunteer and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0815hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS754496 Vehicle 5 Ton Truck report 1 WHA (E), Truck a total lost also at 0815hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS754496 vehicle detonated a mine negative casualties and minor damage to Vehicle was (earth moving) from Alpha Company 19 Engineer.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

Captain John R. Hill assumed command of Bravo Company and Bravo Company will continue their Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operation. /Bravo Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS324577.
Charlie Company
December 10, 1968
At 0815hrs (LATE REPORT) Charlie Company reports at BS308595 at 091615hrs December 1968. Engaged VC evading with results 1 VC KIA approximately (20 Years old) wearing black PJ had pack with small amount of rice, negative weapon or documents. 1 US EM drowned trying to get to VC. They had observed him and when they killed him, 1 US EM entered the river to confirm the Kill. EM was excellent swimmer but they think a swift under current caught him or else he got the cramps. The sole purpose was to confirm the KIA. EM was not order to go in river and EM body was recovered at 091615hrs and EM is carried as KHA (Killed Hostile Action). Charlie Company will continue to conduct Combat Sweep and Clear operations in their Area of Operation. Charlie Company reports their Night Defense Position with Bravo Company at BS324577.
Delta Company

Delta Company received automatic weapons fie at 1120hrs vicinity BS352612, resulting in 2 US WHA (E) Dust Off completed at 1155hrs. The enemy was spotted several times during the day but evaded before any contact could be made. Delta Company reports that SGT Joseph J. Kinneer and PFC Daniel D. Burton were evac to 312th Evac Hospital. Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS352613.
Echo Company
December 10, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Cork where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Volunteer. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Volunteer where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion) with Recon Platoon to continue their Security Mission for the TOC.
